It Will Be Worth The Wait!

Lamentations 3:25

2016 Frieda P. Smith

I do not like to talk about other people, so I will talk about myself. I detest having to wait on people! If I offer you a ride somewhere, you would want to be outside, on the curb, waiting for me when I pull up. I should not have to wait for you.

Obviously, if you are like me, you have a problem when it comes to God.

You see, God speaks to us through His Word, His anointed preachers and teachers, through dreams, and visions, and He tells us of things to come, but we have no idea when He is going to show up “on the curb.”

Instead, God sends His messengers, psalmists, and prophets who simply say, “Wait on the Lord.”

I cannot speak for anyone else, but I have asked God plenty of times, “How long do I have to wait, God? Ten minutes? Three weeks? Five years? Twenty years? Can a sister get a hint?”

God’s reply is always the same: “Wait”.

However, the Prophet Jeremiah has a word of hope and encouragement for us on today, recorded in Lamentations 3:25, “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him. To the soul who seeks Him.”

For those of you who are waiting on the Lord, hold on to this word today.

My friends,we often are tempted to give up because we do not see the results of our prayers.  We have been waiting and waiting, but nothing has changed.

However, be reminded that God is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

I know it is killing you, but do not pull away from “the curb”.

God is going to show up!

It will be worth the wait!
