I May Be Unemployed But I Still Have A Job!

John 14:12

Today is Tuesday; it is considered a workday. As I reside on the east coast of the United States, at this moment there are people who are either leaving work, at work, or getting prepared to go to work.

However, there are those of us who are not in “the workforce”. Some of us have retired, are disabled, or have been laid off and are desperately seeking employment.

Nevertheless, we may be unemployed, but we still have a job.

You see, prior to Jesus’ crucifixion, resurrection, and eventual ascension back to heaven, He had a conversation with His disciples, recorded in John 14. During that conversation, Jesus uttered these powerful words in the 12th verse, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to My Father”.

There is someone reading this message who believes that since you have been laid off from your worldly job, you have no purpose.

The devil is a liar! As a Christian believer, you have a job! Jesus said, “The works that I do, he (she) will do also”…(sounds like a job to me)!

There are lost people out in the world who are waiting for you to show up for “work”. It is your job to tell them how the Lord Jesus saved you from your sins.

There are drug addicts out there who are waiting for you to show up for “work”. It is your job to tell them your story of deliverance.

Enough of the pity party! Get up and announce to the world on this glorious day…

I may be unemployed, but I still have a job!

As I was riding home last night from supporing a powerful woman who is running for mayor. It occurred to me, to stop tellig people I have been unemployed for 2. 5 years. Indeed, I am employed self employed and most importantly by God. My gifts, talents and graces are in divine right timing, being used at their greatest capacity, for salvation, inspiration and wealth, therefore, I am employed! Thanks again for Your inspiration, of occupation.
