Shakiness Is Not Always A Bad Thing!

Mark 9:26

2015 Frieda P. Smith

When we want our lives to be upside down, we buy tickets to the amusement park. Otherwise, we prefer to be on solid ground.

As we take another look at the text that serves as the foundation of our inspirational message,  we find Jesus encountering a young boy who had been terrorized by a demon. The father of the young boy approached Jesus for deliverance, and described how the demon had been terrorizing his son. After Jesus spoke to the father in Mark 9:23 saying, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes,” verse 25 reads, “Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more.”

After Jesus cast a demon out of a young boy, Mark 9, verse 26 reads, “then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him, and he became as one dead, so that many said, he is dead.”

The Bible said that when the demon was being cast out, “the spirit convulsed him greatly.”

In other words, the boy’s body became shaky as the demon departed from it.

My friends, shakiness is not always a bad thing!

There are a few people reading this message right now who are in the midst of a shaky situation. You saw when the enemy launched his attack, and you have been praying, fasting, and believing God. Nevertheless, your marriage, your finances, your relationship, your job prospects, and even your ministry are “shaky”.

But Glory to God, I need to tell you that “shakiness” is a not always a bad thing; for when Jesus begins evicting unclean spirits from your life, things are bound to get very shaky!

Be prepared for your world to be shook! Expect a rocky relationship for a while. Expect some turbulence in your ministry; however, focus on the fact that there is nothing wrong with you. What you are feeling  is the enemy’s refusal to exit peacefully!  He is just creating a ruckus on his way out!

You see, “shakiness” is a sign that things are about to shift! During earthquakes, the earth shakes and things begin to “shift”.  Things start moving around.  What was on the counter is suddenly on the floor.

When things are looking shaky, it means things are shifting around in your life!

The enemy is being evicted!

God is making moves!

Shakiness is not always a bad thing!
